A strict law regulates meat consumption: to eat meat, one must kill. Elie, a young reporter, sets out to document the process at the slaughterhouse. But only participants are allowed in. When faced with the animal, Elie must confront her beliefs — and the violence they demand.
Gabriel Grosclaude is a Swiss director born in 1997 in Neuchâtel. After studying Environmental Engineering at EPFL, he turned to filmmaking at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), where he graduated in 2024. LUX CARNE, his graduation film, premiered at Locarno and won multiple awards internationally. He is currently developing his first feature.
