After writing two novels (Sitarane in 2012, La bête in 2013, édiIons Terriciae) and a biography (Granmoun Lélé ou la voix des ancêtres in 2014, édiIons Orphie), I returned to my first love: cinema. After graduating from UQAM (Université du Québec à Montréal) with a degree in film scriptwriting, with a view to adapting my own novels, I decided to return to Réunion Island, where I'm originally from, to take part in the birth of the Réunionese film industry, in which I believe so deeply. I set up ASMCROI (an association of screenwriters and cinema professionals on Reunion Island), which runs film workshops for young people in schools and educational establishments. It also enabled me to collaborate with Cinékour, both in directing and scriptwriting. I rounded out my profile as a director by taking training courses in editing, acIng with Joëlle Séchaud (actors studio in New York by Jack Waltzer), but above all by parIcipating in shoots in various positions (scripte, assistant director). Between 2015 and 2020, I directed short films and commissions for various private and educational structures. It was also during this year that I met Jérémie Palanque, who is working with me on my next short film Après 6 Zèr.
