Lieutenant Ellen Ripley is the sole survivor of an alien attack aboard the commercial space tug USCSS Nostromo in the near future. So, when communications are lost with a human colony on the moon inhabited by the infamous alien creatures known as Xenomorphs, Ripley goes on a rescue mission with a troop of Colonial Marines. This 1986 sci-fi action film, directed by James Cameron, is a sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1979 hit Alien. It has reached cult status, and some believe it is even better than the original. Nowadays, it is considered a genre masterpiece and one of the best sci-fi films ever made.

BIO

James Francis Cameron was born on August 16, 1954 and is considered a great film director, producer, screenwriter, editor, artist, and environmentalist. He is best known for making science fiction films like The Terminator (1984) which earned him first recognition. He further made genre classic like Aliens (1986), The Abyss (1989), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), and the comedy thriller True Lies (1994). He did venture out of sci-fi / triller / horror grounds with Titanic (1997) and Avatar (2009), with Titanic earning him the Academy Award in Best Picture, Best Director and Best Film Editing.
