A biotech conference. One infected person. Quarantine. And then - something no zombie film has shown before.
Yeon Sang-ho, the director who redefined the modern zombie film with the cult "Train to Busan" (2016), returns with a film that builds on that legacy and simultaneously transcends it. The virus spreads, the building becomes a trap, and the infected begin changing in ways no one anticipated. "Colony" world-premiered in Cannes 2026 Midnight Screenings, led by Jun Ji-hyun - one of the biggest stars in Asian cinema. Fantastic Zagreb is the first festival in the world to screen Colony following its world premiere.
Fun fact
"Colony" is a triple reunion: Yeon Sang-ho works again with Koo Kyo-hwan (Peninsula), Kim Shin-rok (series Hellbound), and Shin Hyun-been (The Ugly, 2025).
