Transylvanie

Ewa is a 10-year-old girl living in a high building in a quiet town. She's an odd, lonely child and for good reason: she's convinced of being a vampire. Fascinated by Hugo, 15, she dreams of turning him into a vampire too, so that she can overcome her loneliness. When Ewa opens up to him, she gets bullied by teenagers from the neighbourhood. Hurt in her body and soul, she's ready to act in the creepiest, sickest ways to prove her identity to the world.

BIO

After directing music videos for several years for artists like Fishbach, We Have Band, Gims, Juveniles, Siboy or Las Aves, Rodrigue self-financed and directed his first documentary Is It Punk Music? (2017), about two brothers escaping their British countryside to make punk music in London. Following that, Rodrigue directed other musical documentaries including Are You Still Here? (2018, Canal +), which tells the story of the French band Her's last tour, held after the untimely passing of co-founder Simon Carpentier. When it comes to fiction, Rodrigue likes it when it gets dark and tense. One can see this in Transylvanie (2023), his first short film, about a 10-year-old girl, living in a quiet little town, who’s convinced of being a vampire and behaves in the creepiest, sickest way to prove it to the world. Since then, Rodrigue produced and directed two short films combining digital horror and found footage, soon to be released. And he’s currently writing several feature films, from a revenge movie set in the punk rock scene of a small French town, to a pure horror film telling the story of two teenage girls taking orders from the boogeyman of a creepy pasta, an internet lore.
