Kościerzyna, a small town in northern Poland today. Majka, 18, is convinced that she is possessed. She decides to meet Father Marek Rogala, an exorcist priest.
Born in France to Polish parents, Julia’s films question her relationship with her country of origin, constantly refining her favourite themes: adolescence, family, sexuality and the working class. I SAW THE FACE OF THE DEVIL tells the story of a young Polish woman in the grip of a crisis of faith. This film is the result of research carried out for her second feature film which is currently in pre-production - the mystical emancipation of a young woman struggling with her monstrous desire.
