In the post-apocalyptic wasteland, a new red moon, rich in energy, suddenly appears. Soon afterwards, it is being excessively exploited by Earth’s inhabitants. But when it suddenly changes its course and threatens life on Earth, the only solution is found in the hands of Paul W.R., a mysterious astronaut who goes missing just a few hours before the start of his mission. This sci-fi thriller, directed by the young award-winning French director Romain Quirot boasts plentiful dreamlike scenes, where the retro style meshes with a futuristic and dirty visual poetics (reminding us of the original Star Wars trilogy), and the wondrous atmosphere intertwines with the musings over the “eternal issues” of loneliness, isolation, and strength of human connectedness.
Romain Quirot je uspješan redatelj tv reklama u čijoj su biografiji Garmin, Hall’s, YouTube, L’Oréal, KFC, Burger King i PayPal, a također je objavljeni YA autor čija se prva trilogija Gary Cook trenutno ekranizira kao TV serija. Njegov kratki film Posljednje putovanje zagonetnog Paula W.R.-a prema kojem je snimljen i dugometražni koji gledamo na ovogodišnjem Fantastic Zagrebu, osvojio je festivalske nagrade te 2017. godine završio među 50 finalista u utrci za Oscare za kratki film.
