ORIGINAL TITLE

Pearl

The main protagonist, Pearl, desperately desires a different life, inspired by what she has seen in Hollywood movies. She dreams of a life of unlimited possibilities, showbiz glamour, and, above all, love. However, her dreams dissipate in a cruel reality, and the gentle and beautiful Pearl transforms into a psychopath who ruthlessly kills with a smile on her face.

"The film is so disturbing that I had difficulty falling asleep after watching it," said the legendary Martin Scorsese, who described Pearl as a hypnotic experience that penetrates deep into the soul of the viewer. The director of the film, along with his muse and the new horror icon, Mia Goth, skillfully manipulates the audience, immersing them into a fairy-tale world of vibrant colors and beautiful shots before unsettling and shocking us. This horror film, shot in lavish Technicolor reminiscent of The Wizard of Oz and classic Hollywood, with its campy atmosphere and surreal scenes, is a real treat for all genre film lovers
