ORIGINAL TITLE

SPUTNIK

At the height of the Cold War, a Soviet spacecraft crash lands after a failed mission that left the commander as its only survivor. A young female doctor is brought in to evaluate the commander’s mental state, and she quickly realizes that something has come back to Earth with him.

It is impossible to ignore the similarities between Sputnik and Ridley Scott’s Alien, even though the Russian film was inspired by the 2017 short The Passenger. Sputnik definitely brings something fresh to the usual interplanetary monster genre depiction, giving it a human touch, at the same time remaining true to the genre canon that will please the fans of top-quality produced, suspenseful SF horror films with incredible special effects. We will be the first in Europe to see this attractive feature debut of the talented Russian director Egor Abramenko!
